A lovely member of my team at work was kind enough to give Miss Maisie gifts for my birthday (thanks Robyn!) including a brand new rope toy which I knew wouldn't last long. Maisie has sunk in her teeth with vigor and already begin to rip pieces of it apart.
She's enjoying herself so much that I figure I'll let her have at it for now. But I couldn't help but laugh at Maisie's startled and confused little face when I asked "are you destroying that toy?" this morning....
"wha? is that not the purpose of this thing???"

My Titan loves those tug ropes especially the frazzled ends! Ugh!

Lucy destroys any soft toy, too. One trick I have finally learned is to rip all the stuffing out and give her the 'flat' version of her toys. But, I am secretly super jealous of Mr. B over at Two Pitties in the City, who just carries his stuffies around (which, Lucy oddly does with bones).
Have you read their post about how to train pups to be gentle with toys? (http://pittiesincity.blogspot.com/2012/04/how-to-week-how-to-teach-your-dog-to-be.html) I keep thinking I'll try it with Lucy but I know how much she loves to destroy stuffies and don't see a lot of hope lol.
Her expressions continue to amaze me!
Mushroom destroyed her first stuffed toy last week. I was oddly proud because she'd been working on it for 2 months. Badger, on the other hand, needs to be carefully supervised with all toys except antlers.
Also, I really like the toothy face she's making in the bottom picture!
Sadly, when they shred these ropes you will find them again later.. lol. Tripp absolutely loves tearing out every strand of his rope toys.. The bigger they are, the more fun he has destroying them!! :)She is too adorable..
Didn't you know that's how stuffies & ropes work? You must destroy them or else someone else will ;)
I'm with Maisie on this one, we have teeth to eat our food & destroy our toys!
Nubbin wiggles,
