Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Summer is over and the weather already feels like fall.  I heard geese flying overhead yesterday, making their way south for the winter.  Change is in the air.  You all have read my posts about working in a dog-friendly office, then working from home, and now...I don't know what's next.  Because tomorrow is officially my last day of work.  *sigh*

I started working literally the day after I graduated college and have never not had a job since, so this is all new to me.  Thankfully, I have managed to save a little bit of money and I am lucky to have the emotional support of my family and friends.  I've already started interviewing for a couple positions but at this point, I don't know that I will be staying in Chicago.  It's an exciting but also extremely scary time for me and Maisie (or should I say, for Maisie and Me).  However things end up, life is about to become very different for both of us.  The only thing I know for sure is that my dog and I will stay together, no matter what happens.

Keep reading to follow us on this latest journey.  And wish us luck!

Sending positive vibes your way sister. You and Maisie will kick this unemployment in the butt and be on to bigger and better things. Keep us all posted and good luck on your interviews!

I wish you LOTS of luck! I gave up looking for work after a year and a half and decided college might be a better option.

Good luck and please let us know how things go!

Well, it's a bit of a haul, and I'm not sure what sort of work you are looking for, but keep Pittsburgh in mind! Lots of fun things to do here, and we are pibble friendly! The cost of living is quite cheap, as well. You don't even have to be a Steeler fan (although it helps ;).

Good luck, and keep us all posted on any news. I'm sure Miss Maisie will give you all the emotional support her little puppy self can muster.

Sending many positive vibes your way! I know it can be scary to be unemployed but luckily you aren't 100% tied down to Chicago...that would limit your options so much more than looking across the U.S! We'll keep checking in with you to see how the job hunt is going! You know your blogosphere friends won't let you get too down! :)

So sorry! I've lost jobs twice with nothing new to go to and both times ended up in better situations than I would have been in if I'd had a comfort zone to stay in. In fact, job loss is what got me to Chicago - and out of Detroit, so you can see how grateful I am in retrospect to the people who let me go. I am sending good vibes your way!

How very exciting! We've been gypsies for so long, being settled down for a longer stretch than a few years feels so confining! You'll find your new path soon...together!
